Performing Hearts

Helping children with special needs enjoy the art of dance, volunteers work one-on-one throughout the school year, culminating in an annual recital - always the highlight of the show!

Performing Hearts provides students (ages 3 to 21+) with special needs the opportunity to enjoy the art of dance in weekly tap, ballet, and creative movement classes. The classes, hosted by The Dance Academy of North Jersey in its Lake Hopatcong studio, serve students from Morris, Sussex and surrounding counties. Volunteers work with the children one-on-one throughout the school year, culminating in an annual recital - always the highlight of the show!
